Fisher's - Your Local Community Supermarket
Fisher’s is an independent grocer based in Gerrards Cross,
Bucks. We have been butchers since 1912 when my Great
Grandfather, who used to live in Gerrards Cross, opened his
first butchers shop on the Wandsworth Road in South London.
We have also traced our family history back to 1750 in
Aylesbury, where John Fisher was a cattle drover.
With my father Bill handing the company down to me, I am now
the fourth generation to be running the family business. We
have been trading in Gerrards Cross since my Grandfather
bought Sidney Jones’ butchers at 23 Packhorse Road. We
converted the shop, and the Dairy and McLarens fruit and veg
shop on either side, to create a Supermarket on 5th November
1970.
To celebrate 40 years trading as a supermarket in Gerrards
Cross, we are championing small producers of quality food,
many of whom are local, to showcase the best of British and
the best of Bucks! Over the years, Fisher’s has offered a
large selection of specialist products from small producers,
supporting the community in which we are based.
Looking to the future, my wife, Sam, and I will be working
to ensure that Fisher’s is seen as the heart of the Gerrards
Cross community and that we are here to serve our community
for the long term. We hope you feel that way too!

Festival of Food and Drink
On 2nd October, Fisher's Local Supermarket in Gerrards Cross is celebrating their 40th anniversary in Gerrards Cross with a Festival of Food and Drink. The Gerrards Cross Memorial Centre on East Common Road have kindly offered their Colston Hall for the occasion. Local suppliers of beer, wine, spirits, cheese, bread, biscuits, and all sorts of jams, jellies and chutneys and sauces will also be on hand to tempt your taste buds. It promises to be a feast of the food senses from 4pm - 8pm. Everyone is welcome, there is no admission charge.
