Ardross Farm Shop
Our shop, situated in the East Neuk of Fife, is the one stop between our farm
and your kitchen. A family run business, we aim to create a haven for food
lovers and canny shoppers alike.
Originally set up to provide a farm gate shop for our traditionally reared beef
and fresh vegetables, the shop now stocks everything you need for a fantastic
local meal. With a huge selection of local meats, handmade ready meals,
delicious puddings, farmhouse cheeses, freshly picked vegetables, preserves,
home baking, sauces, oils, there is something for everyone at Ardross Farm.
We produce our beef as traditionally as possible. This means our cattle are fed on grass and cereals, which are all home-grown, and we allow our stock to mature slowly, which results in succulent and well-marbled beef.
Our family has been farming in the East Neuk for over century producing milk, beef, vegetables and cereals and have previously won livestock awards from the Aberdeen Angus Society. We farm Gibliston and Balmakin farms, which lie just north of Colinsburgh and Ardross, on the shores of the Forth between Elie and St.Monans.
We are members of Quality Meat Scotland who audit us annually. This monitoring ensures a good health programme us adopted for our livestock. We insist on the continuance of high standards therefore our beef is matured for a minimum of 21 days, vacuum packed and blast frozen under the same policy. We know safeguarding the texture and retaining the tenderness of our beef throughout the final stages of production is crucial to your culinary experience.
