We have rare breed chickens - Marsh Daisy, Scots Grey & Ixworth.  Our table bird is a Sasso which originates from France (these are bred in the UK) with an excellent flavour.  We buy these as day old chicks to about 15 weeks old.  Our pork is from the very rare British Lop pig which we are breeding.  These produce fantasic flavoured pork and bacon.  Our lamb is from Oxford Down sheep and we currently have 90 breeding ewes.  At the moment our beef comes from Aberdeen Angus crosses but we are breeding Traditional Hereford cattle which can be traced back to the 1800s and only has British blood.  We expect to have beef from the Traditional Hereford cattle sometime in 2009 .  Our beef is hung 21 days.  We are always happy to show people around the farm and are planning another open day soon.
