Mill Farm Dexter Beef
We sell our own, home bred, Dexter Beef which is hung for 3 weeks, plus Dexter burgers, which are delicious!
We also sell dry cured bacon & gammon, 3 varieties of pork sausages, pork and apple burgers, Bracken Hill preserves and Piper's crisps.
We will be supplying hampers for Christmas and Free-range turkeys

We are Christine & Pat Hodgson and we rent a 50 acre farm where we keep 44 Dexters, which include cows, calves and followers. All our breeding cows have names and are 'part of the family' We keep some of each years' heifers for breeding and sell some on. We usually keep the steers for meat. All are fed traditionally on grass, hay, haylage and straw and no concentrates.
We take the steers up to nearly 30 months of age. The carcasses are hung for 3 weeks resulting in lovely, succulent meat.
We have a small flock of sheep which are Suffolks, Mashams and mules. We have 2 Hampshire Down tups who sire us some lovely lambs.
