Our award-winning shop is a historic
grain store in the heart of Little Walsingham stocked with food from Norfolk
farmers and producers.
We have our own butchery and an open kitchen where we bake pies and make
delicious fresh ready meals.
Our beef is raised in Walsingham, we have Norfolk milk, cheese and eggs,
while cakes and jams are made in Walsingham.
We offer free delivery within 5 miles or we can deliver further
afield by arrangement. Please phone or email us to place an order.
Our excellent beef is raised by James Woodhouse, grazes on the water meadows at Stiffkey, and is then hung for a minimum of 21 days. Pork is reared outside by Tim Allen at Morley Farm, South Creake, whilst lamb comes from the Garners, at Tittleshall. We make all our own sausages, using only Tim Allen's outdoor reared pork.
All our eggs are produced by David and Helen Perowne at Top Farm, Great Snoring, less than a mile away, including quail, duck, goose eggs in season.
We stock all the Norfolk cheeses we can find, including Mrs Temple's which are made a mile away in Wighton. We have Jane Murray's famous ewe's milk cheese, Norfolk White Lady, now made at Willow Farm near Thetford, and Norfolk Dapple, a cheddar-type cheese made by Ellie Betts near Little Barningham.
We stock milk and dairy products from the Pointen brothers, at Stody near Melton Constable, and can guarantee it tastes better than ordinary supermarket milk!
We have two home producers of cakes, jams, marmalades and pickles in Walsingham village, using only fresh ingredients in their jam and butter in their cakes.
We recently did a price comparison on a selected shopping basket, and we certainly beat our local Tesco when you compare like for like: for good quality meat, outdoor reared pork sausages, fresh local vegetables, free range eggs and properly baked bread. So why not visit us and try a taste of what Norfolk producers have to offer?
