A deservedly well known apple that ripens early in September. Apples almost entirely flushed crimson red and are sweet with a strawberry flavour. A reliable cropper in most parts of the UK.

Moderate vigour MM106 rootstock. 'Maiden' trees 1.2-1.5m tall. Can grow to 3.5-4.5m height and spread in 10+ years. Usually support with stake for the first 2-3 years.
