Valentine week: Week 7 of BigBarn’s food and drink weeks

What treat have you got planned for your Valentine? Food and drink is a primal need so surely what better way to reach your straight to your valentine’s heart?

If you’ve left it late this year, we still have some brilliant ideas, food, and presents that will, hands down, beat those last minute gifts from the local garage.

Let’s begin with the basics. Ladies, your man will pander to your every whim for weeks if you cook him a delicious, locally-produced, dry aged, juicy, steak.browns steak

We recommend you look at the BigBarn map to find your local farmer or butcher and ask questions so you can tell your man the story of his meal. There’s something a little bit more to a meal when you know that everything is local, traceable and fresh!

For those of you that aren’t sure where to begin, we’d suggest something like making a winter picnic. It might sound peculiar, but nothing says romance more than a picnic outside under a rug with some local honey and mustard sausages and a sharing a flask of mulled wine, or simply by a fire with some British themed tapas with a twist. Sometimes the simpler the idea, the better the results and not to mention softer on the wallet. Take a peek at some of our fantastic sausage range in ourĀ MarketPlace

And you men, forget the sweetie shelf at the local garage, or the wilting flowers from the supermarket. Give your lovely lady some hand made, high cocoa, aphrodisiac rich, hand made, chocolates.

Simply visit the BigBarn map or MarketPlace to find, and buy, the best local steak or chose from a huge range of chocolate.

If your recipe turns out to be exceptional, as it will, then make sure you upload a video to the KIS Cookery Video Channel.
