Stocks probably the best generally available pork and beef in Chester. All the meat is well butchered. There isn't the same degree of friendly expertise in the shop as when Noel himself used to be there regularly, but the other guys do their best. I do find the lack of forward pricing knowledge irritating, but the only other "complaint" I can make is that their black and white pudding is really inferior stuff. Import it from Ireland, guys. Or even Bury! Overall, they deserve kudos for putting on a good show in a city not blest with great raw ingredients.
