Brother duo, Toby & Nat McConnell, have planted 10 acres of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapevines on their family farm in Wiltshire. Sacré bleu!
The McConnell bros grew up on a modest sized farm with the animals from the petting farm, surrounded by arable farmers on every side. Proper farmers! Toby and Nat longing looked over at their neighbours fields, watching as the "big boys" ploughed fields and harvested grain in their "big boy" tractors. They would not and could not stand for it anymore! They wanted to be real farmers too, well, of sorts. So, they traded in their fluffy bunnies and cute Pigmy Goats for pruning shears and compact tractors.
Now, well on their way to becoming experts in their field, using experimental practices in the vineyard and striving to grow the best grapes possible with the growing season they are given. These lovingly nurtured grapes are pressed into the most glorious and decedent of products, Traditional Method Sparkling Wines.
Just a couple of fun loving guys, who adore the outdoors and are passionate about good farming practices and sharing real produce; straight from the earth, with other like minded people.
