Hello and welcome to Pershore Juneberries!
What is a JUNEBERRY? They look like a blueberry but are in fact part of the apple family, an Amelanchier. They are native to the Canadian prairies where they are known as Saskatoon berries, and have become a major soft fruit crop in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Established orchards now grow in North America, Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.
Their flavour can be described as a cherry-almond mix, and are a great source of nutrition. Packed with antioxidants, Juneberries have twice the iron, fibre and potassium of blueberries.
We sell via an online shop, local retails outlets and farmers markets. We have a 'ring and collect' service based at The Plant Centre, Pershore College, Worcestershire 01386 551149.
