New from Helen Browning's is their Organic Blackcurrant Sylvan Spirit. Like a cassis only fresher and with less sugar. Perfect for that Christmas Kir Royale or delicious drizzled over ice cream. For the ultimate festive cocktail try a blackcurrant Bramble. To make a Blackcurrant Bramble Cocktail Take 25ml of HBs Organic Gin and add to a cocktail shaker full of ice. Add 10 ml of lemon (or more or less to taste) and 25ml of simple sugar syrup (or 1tbsp sugar and 25ml of water). Shake then pour into a glass over ice. Add 15ml of HBs Blackcurrant Sylvan Spirit pouring it around and down the inside of the glass to get a drip effect. Serve with a few fresh or frozen blackcurrants if you have them. Enjoy. The result a bacon cured with just salt and sugar and flavoured with organic lemon and carob. Perfect for any occasion.
