I completely agree. Calcott Farm Shop is the best farm shop I've come across - excellent value (my weekly shop halved when I switched from the supermarket to here), much better quality of produce, friendly staff and an all-round fantastic shopping experience. Thoroughly recommend.

Large friendly farm shop located on a farm just outside Brentwood growing a variety of fruit and vegetables including asparagus, strawberries, pumpkin and rhubarb. We have a butchery, NS Risdons, that stocks locally reared meats , and Star Fishmongers that sell beautiful fresh fish. We stock smoked fish from Suffolk, Essex preserves and chutneys, pies, hams, local fruit juices, cakes and fresh bread daily.
We also have The Barnyard Cafe on site now, serving cakes, coffees and light lunches. Afternoon tea is available too. Opening hours for the cafe are 8.30 - 4.30 Tuesday to Saturday.
