A GLUTEN FREE pie inspired by a classic New Zealand recipe. Rupert Harker from Blackberry Farm supplies us with traditionally reared beef, which we saute and layer with mature cheddar cheese. This rich and tasty filling is encased in short crust butter pastry made with specially blended flour from Doves Farm and glazed with free-range eggs from Windy Ridge Farm.
Ingredients: Beef (40%), Water, Flour blend (Rice, Potato, Tapioca, Maize, Buckwheat) Butter (Milk), Onions, Shortening, (Vegetable Oil, Rapeseed Oil), Thickner: Xantham Gum, Mature Cheddar cheese (6%) (Milk), Tomato Puree, Garlic Puree, Mixed Herbs, Cornflour, Colouring: Caramel, Salt, pepper & Eggs.
