Nelson’s Gold® is our ode to the sweeter side of life: a delicate blend of our premium English vodka and handmade caramel, made with care at the Wild Knight Distillery.
The caramel gives the liqueur a delectable, mellow sweetness. But there are also some beautiful darker notes in the blend’s flavour profile, that will have you savouring it a while, before it’s down the hatch. And yes, that was a nautical pun.
We think Nelson’s Gold has a hint of cinder toffee or honeycomb about it – a flavour-match made in heaven for the earthier barley varietal vodka that forms the base of the drink.
It is exceptionally smooth, with a scent that it is both delicate and deeply desirable. There’s no bad way to drink Nelson’s Gold.
Very good ways to drink it include:
- Cold, over ice, in good company.
- With, or over desserts, such as ice cream and chocolate brownies.
- In a flute of your favourite fizz.
Not content with merely tasting and smelling divine, Nelson’s Gold is quite a looker, with a gorgeous colour that might be best described as amber or nectar-like.
The spirit comes in a striking glass bottle with an antique gold pewter label and a wax seal. You could well imagine it finding a berth in the captain’s quarters of Norfolk’s famous naval hero.
Tasting notes: Rounded caramel with notes of vanilla. Soft on the palate with an ultra smooth finish.
Alcohol: 26.5% ABV.
