El Diamante is an area of the San Ignacio province in Northern Peru. The beans are farmed from various smallholdings across the region. This particular area hosts its own microclimate, with plenty of rainfall and cooler growing conditions, resulting in an exceptional cup profile with complex citrus flavours and acidity. We found notes of mango, rhubarb and blood orange and the coffee had a distinctly 'fudgey' finish. This coffee, in common with many from Peru, is both Fairtrade and Organic Certified.

Available to purchase in 250g and 1kg bags. 250g bags can be supplied as whole beans or ground just prior to packing, according to your preferred option (see below). 1kg bags are supplied as whole beans only. The 250g bags have an integrated zip-lock that can be used to reseal the bag, helping to keep the coffee fresher for longer. The 1kg bags are opened by cutting along the seal at the top. It is recommended you decant the beans into an air-tight container. Store your coffee in a cool, dry place and consume within 4 months of the roasting date shown on the packet.
The coffee bags are recyclable under a scheme provided by Terracycle, a global leader in hard-to-recycle waste. If you wish to take advantage of this, please post your used coffee bags to the address shown on the back of each packet. Note, that Bean Smitten are funding the cost of recycling themselves and can therefore only accept Bean Smitten coffee bags for recycling.
