Ricotta is a creamy white, mild, fresh cheese with a soft texture and a slightly sweet flavor. It is made from fresh Cow's milk. It is reported that Ricotta has five times more calcium than cottage cheese.
It can be used in both savory dishes and sweet. Our favorite is to serve it in a warm pancake drizzled with honey, stuff it inside the date to or Spinach Ricotta pie.
