Swiss Cheese Fondue from Käseswiss
Let us do the hard work for your as we prepare you an ideal selection of freshly cut blocks of cheese for your fondue fun. All you need to do is grate your cheese, decide which wine to use and what you're going to dip!
Fondue Moitié-moitié or "half and half" - contains Gruyère Vieux and Vacherin Fribourgeois cheese. This is the most famous and most delicious of the Swiss Fondue combinations. Using the best quality, matured raw milk cheeses from Canton Fribourg in Switzerland.
We tend to be generous with our mix, allowing approx 250g per person.
You will need to add white wine, and if you depending on your preferences: a clove of garlic, a splash of Kirsch, a teaspoon of cornflour.
A recipe for 500 G MOITIÉ MOITIÉ FONDUE (2 people)
150-200 ml of white wine, 1 clove of garlic, 1 teaspoon cornflour, Optional: A dash of Kirsch
Wipe the inside of your fondue pot with the cut garlic. Add the wine and heat on a medium heat. Add the cheese from the pack. Stir constantly. Heat until the cheese is melted and the fondue is hot. Add the Kirsch. If the fondue is too thick, add a little more wine. Serve with bread or boiled potatoes.
You can also make the fondue with half wine and half water.
