Thrussington was founded and settled around the 9th Century by the Danish Vikings. The name means 'Thursten's town or settlement'.who arrived by navigating the River Trent, Soar and finally on to the River Wreake.


John Ferneley Artist born in Thrussington in 1782. depicted much of Leicestershire’s 19th century hunting scene and specialised in paintings of animals, he is regarded as one of the greatest British equine artists.


A quintessential English village that grow a handsome crop of tomatoes providing the inspiration for this product.
