Slice the onion into half rings and gently fry with the whole mushrooms until the rings are turning golden and clear. Remove from heat. Season the steak on both sides with plenty of salt and pepper and fry on a grill pan for 3 to 4 minutes turning half way. while the steak is frying gently grill or toast two pieces of toast. Cover one side with mayonnaise, relish and crushed garlic. Once the steak is done, slice into chunky pieces and place ontop of the relish covered toast. Add the tomato, lettuce onions and mushrooms. Enjoy with a cold beer.
1 loaf of sour dough or turkish bread (enough for sandwiches)
Sirloin or other fillet
lettuce
tomatoes
3 Mushrooms (medium size)
1 crushed garlic clove
mayonnaise
1 onion
Tomato relish (optional)
