Robin and Debbie Slade started up Scrubby oak Fine Foods Ltd in August 2005 with the aim of re-introducing the Great British Public to the delights of Victorian Sweet Fruit Vinegars a product that once graced the majority of Larders across the Country up until the 1960's, since then we have expanded our range to include pickled fruit, vegetables, sauces and Chutneys with more preserves planned. The Scrubby Oak philosophy is simple to create Tasty preserves from Locally sourced, whole natural ingredients made in the old fashioned way. That as a consequence have a Naturally long shelf life, unlike most of the modern highly commercial products, that are at best a pale immitation of what our forebares would have made !
