The rich flavour of our Autumn Homecoming jam reminded us of the village of Hoby, situated in the Wreake valley where the river meanders through unhurried villages lining its route on the way to the river Soar. Back in the Dark Ages, Danish invaders settled in the valley and gave the river its name - Wreake - meaning to twist and turn. On a fine day no homecoming route can better a stroll along its path. Bread and jam for tea?
